Shotley lies on the Shotley peninsula, where the River Orwell and the River Stour meet and is just 10 miles east of Ipswich. The area around here is a well known bird watching area and also a perfect spot for all nature and wildlife lovers. Constable Country is within easy driving distance as is Suffolk's wonderful Heritage coast.

Box Iron Cottage lies in an idyllic location and is a wonderful holiday retreat. This lovely cottage is set amongst beautiful unspoilt countryside and enjoys a superb view of the River Orwell. Recently renovated and tastefully furnished throughout, it has the advantage of a spacious rear garden. Shop: 1 mile  Pub: 1 mile

Sitting Room is light and comfortable with Victorian style open fire and French doors opening out on to the terrace.  Has the benefit of views of the river.
Kitchen/Diner with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, electric cooker and original Victorian open fire. River views.

First Floor:
Bedroom 1 with a double bed with large window enjoying river view and En-Suite shower, washbasin and w.c.

Bathroom with bath, overbath shower, washbasin and w.c.

Garden: Large and private (not enclosed) with garden furniture and barbecue.
Parking: Private parking for three cars.
Heating: Central heating.
Pets: One well behaved dog allowed but to be kept downstairs and off furniture.
Notes: There are three open fires at the property, can customers please be sure to use fire guards and make sure fires and not still alight if leaving the property. Logs are provided but customers to provide their own kindling.
