Suffolk Holidays Ltd. Booking Information and Terms & Conditions

Suffolk Holidays Ltd. (‘SHL’) are letting agents for the owner of the property. The agreement is between the hirer and the property owner(s). The following information is correct at the time of printing and contents are subject to alteration at any time.

Booking Procedure & Payment.
Bookings are not accepted from any person under 18 years of age.

Kindly place all bookings by telephone to enable availability to be confirmed. Please ensure that you have fully studied the description of the property within our brochure or on our web site and that it meet your needs. Provisional bookings will be accepted for a period of 7 days, during this time the booking must be confirmed and the deposit due paid.

Bookings are to be confirmed by the payment of a deposit of 30% of the rental. If the holiday is less than 30 days ahead then the full payment is required with the booking. In all situations the final payment is to be made 30 days before the start of the booked period, for rent plus all options.

Once a provisional booking has been taken you will be sent a booking form which should be signed and returned to us with the appropriate payment within 7 days of making the provisional reservation. We will send you a receipt by return.

Any other services required (Linen, dogs, cot hire etc) should be confirmed with the booking or a minimum of 30 days prior to the start of the booked holiday. Payment for these services should be made when booked.

A retainer / damage deposit of £100 is required when your final payment is made if you are booking two weeks or over. This retainer will be returned to you within 7 days of your vacating the property after it has been thoroughly inspected by Suffolk Holidays Ltd.

Short breaks (less than 7 nights) - full payment is required when making the booking.

All cheques should be made payable to: Suffolk Holidays Ltd.

Linen & Towels.
All properties include duvets and pillows. Linen is not supplied (unless stated so in the property description). Suffolk Holidays offers a linen and towel hire service as shown on the booking form, pricing on request.

Holiday cancellation scheme.
Hirers who subscribe to the scheme will be able to claim refund for the following reasons:

  • Sickness - to be certified in writing by a qualified registered Medical practitioner.
  • Jury Service - written evidence will be required.
  • Death - certificate will be required.

All certificates and evidence to support your claim (or that of any member of your party) shall be provided at your expense or that of your legal representative. The scheme comes into effect after payment of the non refundable associated fee (£27.00 incl. VAT ) and acceptance of the booking.

Exclusions:

  • Wilfully self inflicted injury or illness (e.g alcohol or drug abuse)
  • Holidays booked in spite of or against medical advice.
  • Cancellation for reasons which could have been foreseen from knowledge in your possession at the time of booking.

Cancellation - Claims procedure:

All cancellations must be telephoned through to our office and then confirmed in writing, followed by required certification and evidence. Claims can only be accepted from the subscriber to the scheme.

All claims will attract an administration charge of £23.50 incl. VAT - in addition to the subscription charge.
In the event of cancellation Non-subscribers to the scheme are liable for full charges that would have been due had the booking been fulfilled.

All cheques should be made payable to: Suffolk Holidays Ltd.

Appliance breakdown.
In the event of appliance breakdown SHL will endeavour to achieve prompt repair but accept no liability for loss of service.

Lost Property.
Please check thoroughly that you have packed all your personal belongings when leaving a property as a minimum charge of £11.75 (incl. VAT) will be made for collection, postage and packing of returned items.

Disclaimer.
The hiring agreement is between the Hirer and the Owner of the property, the hirer being responsible to the owner/s for the full cost of accommodation booked. Suffolk Holidays Ltd. act as the agent of the owner. All information is given in good faith and in the absence of any negligence SHL accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury or accident which the hirer or any of their party may incur or experience. The hirer undertakes to make good any damage caused to the property, furnishings or equipment caused by any member of their party.

Information contained within SHL brochures and advertising material is given in good faith but no warranties are implied or given.
